HACU was established to promote the development of Hispanic students who are graduating from a post-secondary education. It does this by providing students access to many educational opportunities in order to meet the industry, business and governmental needs in corporate America.

This group also assists students by providing member expertise, leadership information, as well as resources.

Hispanic Scholarship Guidelines for HACU Members

* Student must be able to display financial need and eligibility with Federal Financial Assistance
* Must be a U.S. citizen (or must show permanent residency).
* Meet all scholarship criteria
* Attend the specific chapter in which the award will be presented, whether that is in the United States or Puerto Rico.

Scholarship Information

The Aetna Nursing Scholarship

* $2500 award
* Full time or part time student
* Undergraduate attending a two or four year HACU institution
* 3.0 minimum GPA
* Pursuit of a degree in Nursing
* May be required to be in attendance of the organization’s Annual Conference Student Track located in San Diego, California

Deloitte Scholars Program

* $2200 award
* Must be a full time undergraduate
* Major in Accounting at a 4 year institution through this organization
* 3.5 minimum GPA
* Must be a sophomore or junior at time of application

Lockheed Martin Scholarship Award

* $2750 award
* Must be a full time undergraduate
* Declared major in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
* Attend a 4 year institution through this organization
* 3.0 minimum GPA

NASCAR – Wendell Scott Award
* $12,100 award
* Must be a full time undergraduate or a graduate student
* Declared major in Business, Mass Media, Technology, Marketing Management, Engineering, Public Relations, or Sports Marketing
* Attend a 4 year institution through this organization
* 3.0 minimum GPA
* Preference given to students going to school in North Carolina, Georgia, and Florida

Office Depot Scholarship

* $1120 award
* Must be a part time or full time undergraduate
* Have a major in Information Technology, Merchandising, Marketing, International Business, or Business
* Attend a 4 year institutions through this organization
United Health Foundation  Scholarship

* $2000 award
* Must be a full time undergraduate or graduate
* Declared major in Behavioral Health, Mental Health, Public Health, Physician Assistant, Pre-pharmacy, Pre-Medicine, Pre-Dental, Pre-Optometry, Nursing, Dental Technician, or Clinical Psychology
* Attend a 4 year institution through this organization
* A professional resume is required in order to participate in the pre and post scholarship survey

HACU / Walmart Achievers Scholarship

* $1000 award
* Must be a full time undergraduate
* Must have a major in Food Merchandising, Retail Management, General Management, Business Administration, or any other related major
* Attend a 2 or 4 year institution through this organization (does not include Puerto Rico residents; includes only mainland U.S.)
* Preference given to working students and an interest in retail

The main purpose for the Hispanic College Fund is to help give financial assistance for higher educational purposes specifically for Hispanic students. This organization, which was founded in 1993, provides a way for many Hispanic families to continue and pursue their higher educational goals through a complete financial assistance package in order to fully prepared for career opportunities that are presented after graduation.

This college fund has awarded about $15 million in scholarship awards to 5400 students overall. The awards range between $500 and $10000. The average amount that is awarded to each recipient is $3500 and goes toward educational expenses and tuition.

There is certain criteria that will need to be met before applying for the Hispanic College Fund. They are the following:
