I am a 26 yr old hispanic female trying to find money to pay for school. I have taken out 2 students loans for school that only cover my classes. I have no idea where I'm going to find the money to pay for books and everyday expenses. The job I have now I can barly pay the bills I have. I also have my mom, dad and brother living with me in my apartment. We are trying to make ends meet but always fall short. I dont qualify to get grants threw the school because I work for the state of Tennessee and they say I make too much. All I want is to be able to go to school with out having to worry about how I'm going to pay for school or if me and my family are going to have enough to pay the bills. I want to finish my schooloing and become an RN. I want to be the daughter my parents are proud of and I want to be proud of myself and not feel like I cant go to school because I dont have the money. Any and all information is greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

I have been a stay-at-home mother of 6 children since 1994. My kids are all in school all day now and it is at this time in my life that I want to pursue my career/my dreams and gain new skills and re-enter the workforce. I need to find work so I can help out at home financially as our family expenses are growing. We sometimes have to scrape for change to get buy milk. I have been trying to look for a decent job but most employers ask if I've had experience and what kind of skills do I have. I can't afford to pay for courses at a college and most employers require someone with experience or skills before they hire you. Being that I have been out of the working world raising my family and having the time now to find a job I need to update my skills first but I don't know how to go about obtaining help financially in the form of a grant. I understand there are grants for women and minorities as well. I feel since I am Spanish and a mother, there has to be some type of government assistance or a foundation for the purpose of providing assistance for education. Can you help me find a way to get financial assistance for a college education in order to achieve my dreams and thereby being financially secure for my family's future? I appreciate and anxiously await any information you can give me.

Thank you and God bless!
